This was a collaboration project between Volkswagen and Autodesk. The project was shown at the Autodesk University conference 2019 and was highlighted as a main generative design project at Autodesk.

Created the generative design with a nature-inspired aesthetic, at the same time, functional, lightweight, and optimized.

The goal of the project was to make the traditional VW bus lightweight and modern using the latest technology from Autodesk, generative design. Generative design is a collaboration between machine learning and human design. During the designing process, I manipulated the software while preserving engineering requirements to meet the aesthetic goal we had in mind. The outcome of the generative design parts include16% lighter than traditional wheel and fast 2 months production time.
